Check the schedule to see if the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre is offering tours and screenings, or wander along Hollywood Boulevard, looking down to see whose famous handprints are pressed into the concrete. You’re more likely to see a celebrity at some vegan cafe in Silver Lake than here, but the frayed glamour of Hollywood and the Sunset Strip still exerts its charm. ![]() The western edge of the park includes several steep trails climbing to the Hollywood Sign. ![]() You can wander around the famous Griffith Observatory, the backdrop to dozens of famous movie scenes, or bring your children to the historic Merry-Go-Round carousel. Los Angeles’s biggest park is more of a district, with more than 4,000 acres of trails, attractions, and serene picnic spots. For relaxation time at the Casa there are plentiful entertainment options including Amazon Echo, TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, many movies, PlayStation and several board games with even more available upon request! I also provide a beach blanket, tote and towels for excursions to the beach. Folding chairs in closet as well as extra folding table in closet. There is a end table that is gate-leg so can be used for in-room dining. Also have a Keurig for coffee and electric tea kettle and assortment of teas. There is a small fridge/freezer, microwave oven, 2 burner electric cooktop, and George Forman grill for cooking. There is also a Zip Car location less than a block away. One bus stop is less than a block away on one major street and another the opposite direction a block and a half from the house. There is plentiful public transportation within walking distance. The other half of my guests rely on Uber and Lyft which are always available within minutes. Plenty of free parking is available.Īpproximately half my guests rent a car and there is unrestricted street parking available except for street cleaning on Tuesday afternoons. This is a diverse and safe area, within walking distance of Museum Row and the Grove. I live in the adjacent house so am able to offer help during guest's stay. Private entrance allows you to come and go as you please. It's convenient to just about anywhere you would want to visit while in Los Angeles. Casa Carmona is a little oasis in the big city.
